About

Wemeco.

Wemeco is a modern, dynamic and steadily growing organization specialized in the serial production of steel, aluminium and stainless steel products.

What do we do?

Wemeco is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company specializing in the serial production of custom products. With a modern and extensive range of machinery, we excel in versatile metalworking in steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, along with assembly work for both small and medium-large production-batches.

Wemeco’s strength lies in the fact that we can produce both semi-finished and finished products in-house (including assembly, packaging, logistics, etc.).

Wemeco is your complete supplier for light construction work, semi-finished products, (sub-) assemblies and end products.

Our name

The name Wemeco stands for Western-European Middle-European Co-operation, which is the purpose of the company: to promote cooperation between Western European and Central European (production) companies.

Vision

Our ambition is to be a leading and trusted partner in the manufacturing industry, distinguished by collaboration, innovation, and shared growth. We strive for long-lasting relationships, fostering continuity and long-term success. In this way, we create sustainable value for our partners and contribute to the development of their markets.

Mission

Our mission is to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our partners, through continuous innovation and efficient collaboration. We aim to have a positive impact on our partners’ markets by providing reliable products and services that contribute to their long-term success.

Our history

Our history

2001 - The Start

On January 1, 2001 Richard van Heuven founded Wemeco Nederland as a commercial intermediary agency from the office in Hengelo. The aim was to build a bridge between companies in Western and Central Europe. Wemeco sought the right production partner in Central Europe for companies looking to outsource work, and also monitored the production and logistics process after the order was placed.

2002 - Start own production

To gain better control over our processes, we established our own production facility in Kudowa Zdrój, Poland, at the end of 2001. Wemeco Poland started in a small production hall, assembling mass-produced items for a major Finnish company. The partnership thrived, and demand quickly outgrew the available space. After an extensive search, we secured a new location—an old army base. The existing halls and offices were fully renovated and optimized for small-scale production, laying the foundation for further growth.

2004 - Investing in Our Future: A Milestone in Growth

In 2004, we took a significant step to support our company’s growth by partnering with an external investor. This collaboration allowed us to construct a new facility and secure funding for our initial machinery. From that moment on, we have had two main shareholders: Tricofa B.V. and Taluz Beheer B.V. As a result of this strategic decision, we were able to elevate our operations and enhance our service offerings, paving the way for future success.

2006 - New building

In 2006, we proudly relocated to our new facility, featuring 2,000 m² of manufacturing space and 200 m² of office space. This strategic investment enabled us to completely redesign our factory layout, significantly enhancing the efficiency of our production processes. With this streamlined design, we optimize workflow and improve operational capabilities, ensuring we consistently meet our clients’ needs with greater speed and effectiveness.

2006 - Wemeco Academy

To attract young talent, we launched our own accredited vocational school, Wemeco Academy. Here, young students can specialize and truly learn a trade after an initial orientation phase. The program lasts three years and strikes a healthy balance between theory and practice. Students can choose from various fields, including logistics, CNC machine operation, welding, powder coating, assembly, and more. Upon graduation, they have the opportunity to join our team immediately, further enhancing their skills and development. We take great pride in nurturing young talent and look forward to training many more individuals in the future.

2018 - Introduction of QRM

In 2018, we proudly introduced Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM) into our operations, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to efficiency and responsiveness. QRM is a strategy designed to reduce lead times and enhance our production processes, allowing us to respond swiftly to customer demands and market changes.

2021 - Expansion of the buildings

In 2021, Wemeco expanded its facilities to support our growing operations and commitment to delivering complete solutions. This extension was specifically designed to house our brand-new powder coating department and assembly department, further enhancing our capabilities.

2022 - Introduction of tube laser technology

In 2022, Wemeco took a major step forward in precision and efficiency with the installation of the Tube 3000 Fiber. This advanced tube laser cutting technology allows us to process steel, aluminum, and stainless steel with even greater accuracy and speed.

2024 – Solar Panels Installed

Sustainability is a key focus at Wemeco, and in 2024, we took a significant step toward reducing our environmental footprint by installing solar panels on our facilities. This investment in renewable energy allows us to generate a substantial portion of our own electricity, making our production processes more energy-efficient and sustainable.

Empowering Our Team

Investing in Our People: The Key to Quality and Success.

Training

At the basis of a good-running company and high product quality are subject-competent, motivated employees. Wemeco is therefore constantly investing in training for its employees, so that employees can develop and grow while the quality and effectiveness of the company is increased.

Wemeco Academy

Since 2004, Wemeco has proudly operated its own training institute: the Wemeco Academy. Here, we train our own professionals, with a practical program tailored specifically to the needs of our company. Currently, 24 students are following an intensive, hands-on education that prepares them for a future career at Wemeco.

Through the Wemeco Academy, we are making a focused investment in the growth of our people and the future of our company.

Involvement

Wemeco places great value on employee involvement. To strengthen this, we set up improvement teams that focus on optimizing key business processes using the Kaizen method. By actively involving employees in these initiatives, we increase their engagement and strengthen their connection to the company’s progress.

Encouraging Initiative

Within Wemeco’s informal company culture, every employee takes personal responsibility for their work. This ownership gives them the freedom to reflect on their tasks and share ideas for improvement. That sense of autonomy fosters intrinsic motivation, benefiting both the individual and the company.
